Wine Tasting Party

Gunhild has the passion of meeting friends and …tasting wine. so she created a once a month wine tasting party with her friends and it is strictly GIRLS ONLY. Every month one of the girl is entitled to choose and present a selection of wines and after a short description of the bottles…the tasting starts. Nice surprises and lovely conversation around the table… I wish I could be part of the group. This is the thanking letter she sent us back home and….

Osterlund - Sweden

 

“Hallo ! We are home again and our journey home to Sweden was fine. (…) We felt like beeing at home. Every breakfast when Laura came down and had a talk with everybody was wonderful – she was a perfect and hospitable hostess. The wine from Chianti was good and now I have had my wine-tastin party. My guests liked your wine and admired the handmade label. I hope to see Ancora again.”

…as promised, she also sent pictures of the wine tasting party in Ostersund with girlfriends of hers in an fancy decorated card. What fun!!

“Dear Laura,
as I told you I had wine tasting-party when I came back home to Sweden. I used 4 bottles with wine of Sangiovese grape. (…) My guests liked your wines and especially they liked the label.
I send you some cards from the party and I also send you a card with a beautiful view from our town, Ostersund. we have summer now and the lilacs have small flowers.

Tasting and Testing Wine

They arrived at Ancora del Chianti with a mission: to meet and to discover special wines and cellars to offer to their prestigious client in Holland. So everyday they combined visits to major art cities as Siena and San Gimignano with small family run farm and important castle/properties all around Tuscany. The most difficult part of it was once back to Ancora del Chianti. They had to taste and test them in the garden, on hammock or deck chairs in font of pink sunset…very hard job!

Roger lives in Martigues, Cote Azur, France and the sea and sailing are his best subject of inspiration. He uses a mixed technique and the use of light is something special.

Smiling on the Lawns

They have been curious about the Photo Contest of Ancora del Chianti from the very beginning and I must say they took it very seriously.

They arrived at breakfast with their camera, trying to catch the butterflies around the roses and the lavander in the morning; they have been visiting a lot sending nice and original pictures of the cities and villages they visited. They also spent quite a long time relaxing in the garden waiting for the sun going down: in order to catch the “perfect moment” at Ancora del Chianti. Really good job and keep in touch!
