Tuscany Bed and Breakfast on the Florentine Chianti Hills

Tack för några fina dagar på Ancora del Chanti, vi bodde där från 23 september till 27 september 2009. Vi började vår resa i Milano den 20 september där vi övernattade första natten. Vi hade hyrt en bil på flygplatsen och fortsatte nästa dag mot Florens, på förmiddagen regnade det, men efterhand blev vädret bättre,resten av resan hade vi mellan 26-30 grader och sol. Andra natten tillbringade vi på ett hotell någonstans uppe i bergen mellan Bologna och Florens " Albergo Locanda ". Tredje natten tillbringade vi i Florens, på gångavstånd till seväedheterna. Vi promenerar runt i många timmar innan fötterna sade stopp. Nästa dag åker vi till Ancora del Chanti, när vi hittat fram stod våra namn på dörren med en välkomsthälsning, mycket trevligt! Frukost på verandan varje morgon innan vi började utforska omgivningarna. Vi var i Siena, Cortona, och San Marino. Vi var på marknad i Greve in Chanti på lördagsförmiddagen, mycket trevligt. Vi hade fått hjälpa till att skörda vindruvor, men hade annat för oss.När det var dags att resa åkte vi mot kusten till Levanto en mycket trevlig plats.Där stannade vi en natt. Nästa dag äkte vi vidare mot Milano och hamnade på Agriturismo LA.TI.MI.DA. i Cassine ett mycket mysigt ställe.Därifrån ätervände vi till hotellet vi bott på i Milano, på kvällen var vi i Milanos centrum och promenerade. Den 30 september återvände vi hem igen. Tack än en gång för en trevlig vistelse på Ancora del Chanti och vi kommer gärna tillbaka. Du som ska besöka Ancora del Chanti måste ha bil! Till er som letar efter ett riktigt bra B&B med personlig touch och vill få se kvällssolen gå ner över Toscanas kullar medan ni sitter under valnötsträdet och cikadorna chirpar i träden- detta är vad ni söker. Laura är fantastisk och ger gärna tips från personliga erfarenheter på vad man kan se och göra i Chianti. Bil är ett måste. To you, Laura: A warm and heartfelt Thank You for your generous care about us and our wellbeing during our stay. We had a wonderful stay with Laura, her family and helpers early in May. Ancora del Chianti is very beautiful and peaceful. The flowers and birds were abundant with a backdrop of vineyards and olive orchards. The scenery was beautiful and can be viewed from the many different areas to relax and appreciate including sunsets. Breakfast which was plentiful and tasty on the terrace with all the other guests was a lovely way to start the day. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with lots of hot water in the efficient bathroom. Would love to spend more time at Ancora del Chianti and investigate the surrounding area even further.

Dear Laura, We are so glad that of all the B&Bs and Farmhouses in Chianti, we chose yours. You were indeed a charming and wonderful host, and your dedication to the faithful running of Ancora del Chianti as well as organic farming is inspiring! We have only 2 regrets: That we did not get to meet the rest of your lovely family, and that we didn't buy the olive oil produced by your farm. So far, we have not found any other olive oil that tastes as good as yours! Nonetheless, we are sure that we will have the chance to do all that the next time we visit. Till next time!! Our stay at Ancora del Chianti will be one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany. The tranquility of the setting among the olive groves and vineyards, with a view over the valley to the wooded hills opposite; awakening to the song of the birds every morning; beginning the day with a copious breakfast on the patio, complete with one of Maria's freshly baked cakes; being greeted by Maya, with her ever-wagging tail--have created indelible memories. But the pièce de résistance is Laura herself. Laura loves to share her home and her garden of flowers. Always helpful with directions and advice, Laura greets her guests with warmth and an irresistable smile. Ancora del Chianti is one of Tuscany's treasures.
