"Rustic, Comfortable, Delightful†Our family of 11 ranged from 10 - 80 years old. We all stayed in the 5 rooms in the converted barn, which was quite spacious and clean. The rooms and property are very well-maintained. Everyone was delighted with the B&B, the surrounding hillside scenery, central location, and, specially our beautiful and vibrant host, Laura. Anchora del Chianti was full of simple little touches that made our stay that much more memorable, something you would expect from a close friend. The other reviews are spot on; re-reading them puts smiles on our faces as we walk down memory lane. Bravo, Laura and Filippo!!!!

"Wonderful memoriesâ€We spent a wonderful week here in early April with 7 other members of our family. Ancora del Chianti is an exceptional place to stay: from the large communal kitchen and sitting area; to our very clean, individual rooms, full of character with the smallest of details looked after; to the lovely setting where we could relax, visit and eat outdoors in a variety of areas; we'll look back on the good memories of our stay for a long time. Laura is cheerfully enthusiastic. She is also very knowledgeable about the area. After a couple of day trips we quickly learned to trust the advice that she so generously shares. Laura's kindness and careful attention to the smallest of details went well beyond our expectations. Our group particularly enjoyed the cooking class and delicious Italian meal that Laura arranged for us. The breakfasts were also fantastic - imagine a different cake every morning! If you're looking for a terrific rural retreat or a base from which to visit the many nearby towns and interesting sites, we couldn't recommend Ancora del Chianti more highly.

"Eco-friendly B&B in Tuscany†I had the pleasure to spend a couple of nights at this hidden gem in the Tuscan country side, in the middle of the Chianti Classico region. The estate is quietly located which allows for complete relax while enjoying the views, the olive trees and the vine yard (btw: this wine is delicious and fully biologic, ask Filippo for a sip). The rooms are comfortable and furnished with utmost personal care. The breakfast is rich (try the cake, which is freshly home-made every day). Next to this, it is a good occasion to socialize with other guests and ask Laura, the hospitable owner, for tips what to visit in this splendid region (which is important, given the long list of AAA tourist attractions in the region).

"More than a Bed & Breakfast†Staying with Laura was lovely. She was more than just a B&B host, she helped us plan a lovely holiday and was great company along the way. We loved our cakes for breakfast every morning, not to mention delicious coffees and teas! Laura gave us many recommendations around the area on what to see and do, and where to eat. She also set us up with a lovely olive oil tasting and personal wine tour at a nearby vineyard. We felt like we had the VIP treatment very early in the season before masses of tourists descended upon Tuscany. One thing to note: you definitely need a car to make it up the hill to Ancora del Chianti- it's a rocky dirt road, which is perfect for getting out of the hustle and bustle of nearby villages, but can be a bit surprising when you arrive at night!

Our stay at Ancora del Chianti was wonderful in every way: a warm welcome, beautiful views, lovely rooms, delicious breakfast, outstanding recommendations for restaurants in the area and all-around gracious hosplitality. We felt very much at home and Laura truly made us feel like old friends. Perhaps best of all, it was a paradise for children! The owners' children proved themselves to be as welcoming as their parents, and my son and daughter could not have been happier, playing with them in the tree house in the olive grove. Very happy memories indeed, and we look very forward to our next visit. Thank you for everything!

Dear Laura, We loved our visit at Ancora and only wish our stay was longer. (And the weather was a bit warmer, but of course you can't change Mother Nature. ) You helped assure our stay was positive with all the personal touches: a note marking our rooms waiting for us upon arrival, the delicious treats made my Ingrid, the tips and suggestions for excursions given with detail, choice and even a bit of intrigue, and your commitment to run an eco-friendly establishment. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We sincerely hope to return soon or in a few years.

We spent 5 days at this wonderful B and B. The views from the top of the hill where we were located were stunning. The mist a couple of the mornings was beautiful and the grape harvest was going on, it was wonderful. We were welcomed and shown our room, in the evening, had a wonderful breakfast outside before each busy day. Recommendations from Laura were wonderful, where to drive, where to eat lunch dinner, wineries to visit, places to go. It was so enjoyable and relaxing. Each room in the B and B has it\'s own character. There is a wonderful kitchen available and the wine they make at the B and B is also available. Would definitely go back. There is so much to see an do in the area, also easy to get into Florence. Returning each evening to Ancora del Chianti was like coming home, relaxing and quiet once you got up the bumpy dirt road. The entrance made it all the more interesting and fun!!
