We spent about a week here and had an absolutely wonderful time. Laura is a great host. She is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the private wine tasting she arranged for us at a winery in Radda in Chianti. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Very rustic, Italian setting, overlooking the Tuscan countryside. Cypress trees, olive groves and vineyards... the property was beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was quite basic, but delicious. Their home-made cakes were divine! The common kitchen was well equipped and clean. They also had a stock of beer, wine, biscuits, canned food etc at very nominal prices. In fact, the food prices were similar to prices at the supermarket in Greve. Florence was not so far away(around 30 mins by car) and driving around Chianti was a wonderful experience. It was a perfect Tuscan holiday for us! We would definitely come back! However, if you don't have a car (and a navigation system!), it can be hard to reach.

A very pleasent stay in the heart of Chianti! You can, amongst other "activities", find a relaxing environment with a nice view from a gently swinging hammock to slow you down. The room we got was very convinient, clean, cool and quiet. Nice breakfast. A perfect place to explore Tuscany from. Best thing last: the hosts, Laura and Filippo, and their personal and friendly way to treat their guests. We hope come back.

This is a beautiful B&B just outside of downtown Greve. It is a bit of a bumpy ride to get there but totally worth the effort. The views are fantastic. The property is large and peacefull. It is very clost to Greve and an easy bus ride to Florence. The breakfast was fantastic every morning and Laura was a wonderfull hostess. I even bought one of her beautiful purses. I highly recommend this B&B for a peacefull getaway.

My wife and I just spent five nights at Ancora del Chianti as part of our honeymoon and highly recommend staying here if you plan on visiting the Tuscan countryside. Laura, our host, really made our stay a very personal and pleasant one, from the welcome notes and wine when we first arrived, to spending an hour with us explaining the Chianti region and things we could do, to introducing her friends with whom we could take Tuscan cooking classes, take a winery tour, or taste some local olive oil! Thank you Laura! The map and restaurant recommendations were great and very helpful too. The B&B is well located close to Greve so the main sights in Chianti are very accessible. It is also about midway between Florence and Siena, which made for easy day trips. The house and rooms are warm and comfortable, and Laura and her family have made it a point to live sustainably. Breakfast was simple, with homemade cakes every morning, and served on a lovely terrace. If you're lucky enough as we were, there was a wine festival in the nearby Panzano that was quite the experience! 15 euros for a wine glass and unlimited samples of wine from the surrounding wineries. This was our favourite part of our trip and we have only good things to say about Ancora. Thanks again to Laura and the family :)
