Dear Laura, dear Filippo, what a wonderful new website! It brightens up our lovely memories of your beautiful house and garden. We had a wonderful week at Ancora del Chianti in July last year. We enjoyed it a lot, and some day we will surely come back. We still enjoy the last precious drops of olive oil we took with us last year, and then we feel like sitting on your veranda watching the sun go down :-) Frank and Carmen.

We stayed for seven nights in September to catch the wine festival in Greve and we are so glad we chose to stay at Ancora del Chianti, it is a very special place due to a very special host Laura! She is so welcoming and friendly and is dedicated to making sure all her guests have the best experience at her beautiful home. We really appreciated all the little touches such as the sweet welcome card outside the room and arranging a homemade cake and bottle of their own organic wine on our arrival. We looked forward to our morning chats over lovely breakfasts on the terrace where she would help us with directions and recommendations every day and also told us about the carnival and children's lantern procession in Greve which made us feel privileged to experience a little part of community life. The room was very clean, charming and quaint and it was lovely to return to after a long day out sightseeing to relax in the hammocks amidst the olive groves or on the terrace and appreciate the tranquility and breathtaking views of the beautiful valley of Greve - whilst drinking Chianti of course! The wine festival was fabulous but we can honestly say that Laura and Filippo's wine can't be beat! To stay at Ancora del Chianti is an absolute treat and we would like to again thank Laura, Filippo, Spartaco and Cesare for sharing their beautiful home and making our memories of Tuscany truly magical. We can't wait to return, see you next time! Big hugs, Debbie and Andy xx

We were lucky to spend seven nights in this truly beautiful part of the world. Even before we arrived we were sent an email and asked whether we would like a picnic basket in our room and wine as we were arriving late in the day. Then we were greeted by our wonderful hosts Laura and Fillipo. Boy do they make you feel at home. This place is so relaxing, with it's hammocks and chairs scattered around the property, you could quite easily while away the day. The accomodation is clean and comfortable, and breakfast is lovely being served under the verandah, were you can chatter to the other guests. The lovely town of Greve is about five minutes away with great restaurants and cafes, and the BnB is situated right in the heart of Chianti, and being very central to Florence and Sienna. We would love to return again one day if we are fortunate enough, and we would not hesitate to recommend this home away from home. Thanks again Laura for your wonderful hospitality and to Fillippo for sharing his wine pressing with Ian, was truly memorable.

Hi Laura, Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful stay at your B&B, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed it immensely. We arrived home safe and sound in beautiful British Columbia here in Canada. We thoroughly enjoyed trying to converse with your Mom, it just goes to show you how far you can get with a few words and sign language. Thanks again, Rod and Carol

Ancora del Chianti is a true Gem. Secluded and tucked away, this BNB is a fantastic place to escape to. Laura was an extremely helpful and gracious host. We had come to Greve for the wine festival. Ancora was only 5 KM outside of the the town of Greve. We met many travelers who had to catch a bus back to florecence or even drive some 50KM way. We were so greatful for our secluded hide way. There are many separate apartements and Laura does a very good job of maintaining the privacy. The views from there house over the valley are breathtaking. You definately need a car to reach this place and it is well work the trip. Breakfast is provided each morning. Of all the places we traveled on our stay this was the peaceful and quite. If your plan to travel in the Tuscany area, especially in Chianti region, this place is perfect!

Laura was an incredibly gracious and helpful host during the few days I stayed there in August - her English is nearly as good as her French, which sounded almost as good as her German. Ancora del Chianti is a beautiful B&B - the vineyard overlooks a sprawling valley and the grounds are quiet, with hammocks and quiet places to read and relax. If you're using it as a home base to travel in Tuscany, it's only around a 45 minute drive north to Florence, and the roughly the same south to Siena. 5 minutes away is the main town of Greve-in-Chianti, which I didn't personally find as charming as others closer to Siena, but serves it's purpose as it's got a pharmacy, stores, restaurants and cafes with internet access. All in all, a really nice place to stay - the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was really nice. Minor inconvenience was the lack of internet access, but perhaps that's changed since I was there
