We had a lovely stay. The accommodations we shared with our three grown up children was perfect. Breakfast was a good time to meet other guests from all over the world.

The hosts of this place are lovely, and the rooms very large, clean and a standing fan is provided, along with tea & coffee facilities. While we were there, Laura & Filipo put on a dinner which most of the b&b's guests attended rather than going out to get dinner in town. If they host one while you are there, I thoroughly recommend it, as it made the b&b all the more memorable as it helps you get to know the other guests as well as your hosts (also not expensive). Many of the guests were staying there for a week or more, so the well-equipped kitchen facilities must be welcomed. Good location from which to explore the Chianti region. The only little downside is that the road is not paved all the way, so the final bit to the house is a little bumpy.

What a wonderful place!! We toured France, England and Italy and Anchora Del Chianti is the place I will remember. From the hearty breakfasts (fresh homebaked breads and tarts by Ingrid)to the uncommercialised beauty of the surrounding tuscan countryside to the warm and friendly hosts - everything was perfect. Be sure not to miss the magnificent sunsets from the hammock and the wonderful service (and food) of Tomasse at the La Bottega del Moro, a quaint restaurant in the picturesque village of Greve. Three days were too short and we hope to be back some day for a much longer stay.

The family who run the B&B are lovely, very willing to help make your experience in the area as rich as they can. Their little suggestions for places to visit in the area and directions were invaluable and their restaurant suggestions were all fantastic for value for money, quality and service. The rooms are very cute, cool, quiet and comfortable. The shared kitchen is great. We used it to make pre-dinner cocktails in the evening. The breakfast's are nice and traditional Italian although some fruit would be a good addition.

We spent six wonderful nights at Ancora del Chianti and enjoyed the company of lovely guests and our delightful hosts. We loved everything from breakfast on the patio to reading in the shade, (it was hot out!), to making day trips in Tuscany. Laura was unfailingly helpful but never intrusive--a perfect innkeeper. We are in Paris now but look forward to returning to Greve. Hold a room for us!
