ARRIVEDERCI A PRIMAVERA!
During his first visit in Tuscany of last year, he used to have breakfast on the terrace and leave home with all the equipment for open air landscape painting: tripode, chair and colours! He was all over in Tuscany and painted and sketched impressive sceneries of Chianti, Florence, Siena and Colle Val d’Elsa and San Gimignano choosing different time of the day for special light effects. He was able to experiment the whole range of Tuscan famous landscape in summer: hilltowns and buildings, vineyards, sunflower fields and forests with easy daytrips from the B&B. He really experienced how a painting holiday in Tuscany can be overwhelming and…. his beautiful artworks can testify.
This time he brought a super special gift from home: a painting he did last year during his first stay as sketch and he has been working on during springtime. Now it is a beautiful painting of Santo Stefano in Campoli Church near Quattro Strade on the way to San Casciano Val di Pesa. I love the quick yet precise strokes and brown / burgundy shades. It is now in the reception for everybody to admire…and for my everyday delight!
We all thank Alexandre for his talent and generosity and find him here with Alessandra in the sun light right in front of the studio while having breakfast on the panoramic terrace.

Submitted photos and videos must recreate/explain the “Perfect Moment” of your holiday in Tuscany during your stay at Ancora del Chianti or your moment of fun. We offer 2 complementary nights at our B&B to the winner, valid within season 2016. Entry is free and all levels of expertise are welcome. We only require a formal releasing that by entering the competition you agree to allow us to use the photos on our blog, FB page and website and in promotional or commercial material of any kind with full name and full address. Photos must be sent in JPG format to email@example.com and as the videos, must arrive within Nov 8 2015 with the formal releasing.

Winter time is a busy moment at Ancora del Chianti B&B
for our young pastry chefs Spartaco and Cesare.
Here they want to share their recipe for Christmas Cookies 2014,
WITH ALL GOOD WISHES FOR

RECIPE for 2014 CHRISTMAS COOKIES by Spartaco and Cesare
200g Brown Sugar
Salt – a pinch
500g Flour – sifted
1 teaspoon Soda
100g Chocolate chips
Heat the butter and mix the ingredients following blocks and order kneading.
Prepare 3 rolls and make it rest in the fridge for 30 min.
Remove the dough from the fridge, knead it until easy to handle and make it flat. Then roll it out with a rolling pin.
Now….. take your favourite Xmas moulds and..have fun!
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Prepare a oven tray with baking paper.
Bake the cookies for 11-12 minutes, until light hazelnut coloured.
Make them rest and cool down on a wire trivet.
Lovely and simple packaging for a gift, giveaway or placeholder on YOUR Christmas Table as in our case, the biscuits will not last for so long, I believe… : )
